Final Size: 12 in / 30.5 cm (width) x 10 in / 25.5 cm (height) with 23 inch / 58.5 cm strap
Gauge: 4 x 4 inch square = 13 stitches x 7 rows
Materials:
– 5.00 mm hook (U.S. size H)
– 1 ball of Red Heart “With Love” yarn (370 yards per ball, I used about ¾ of the ball)
– Any weight 4 yarn will do, I used “Holly Berry” in Red Heart “With Love” yarn
– Darning needle
– Scissors
– 2 stitch markers
Abbreviations:
Ch – Chain
Sl – Slip Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
FPDC – Front Post Double Crochet
BPDC – Back Post Double Crochet
StwCh – Stitch with Chain
Skills/Reference Guide (Written):
– Double Crochet:
o Yarn over.
o Insert hook into work.
o Yarn over and pull through work. [3 loops on hook.]
o Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on your hook. [2 loops on hook]
o Yarn over and pull through the remaining 2 loops on your hook. [1 loop on hook.]
– Front Post Double Crochet:
o Yarn over.
o Insert hook around the post of the next stitch. (Insert hook under stitch towards the back of the project, go around the post of the previous stitch, then insert hook under the next stitch so the hook is pointing out of the front of the project.)
o Yarn over and pull through. [3 loops on hook.]
o Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on your hook. [2 loops on hook]
o Yarn over and pull through the remaining 2 loops on your hook. [1 loop on hook.]
– Back Post Double Crochet:
o Yarn over.
o Insert hook around the post of the next stitch. (Insert hook under stitch towards the front of the project, go around the post of the previous stitch, then insert hook under the next stitch so the hook is pointing out of the back of the project.)
o Yarn over and pull through work. [3 loops on hook.]

Row 36: TURN work. SC along the strap to the other side. Sl to base st with marker (48th st). Sl to 47th st on base. Place marker onto the 46th st.
Row 37: Turn work. SC along the strap to the other side. Sl to base st with marker (4th st). Sl to 5th st on base. Remove marker.
Row 38: Turn work. SC along the strap to the other side. Sl to base st with marker (46th st). Tie off end and cut.
